Extra large Chinese Camphor Wood Chest / Blanket Box with profuse carvings

  

Beautifully carved vintage Chinese Camphor wood Chest or Blanket Box. Large Chest with deep hinged lid, ideal for Blanket Box at the end of the bed as Camphor Wood inhibits the attention of insects. Also would make a fabulous Coffee Table if fitted with glass top.

Deeply incised carvings on lid and sides with traditional figural scenes. Lovely characterful Brass Plated lock and hasp. Size: approx 104 long x 52 wide x 52 high, cms. Condition is generally very good. However the lock doesn't work and hasp retaining pins are removed. One slight crack and a couple of old digs in the lid. DONT FORGET TO VIEW MY OTHER ITEMS.
