An 18th century large Chinese blue and white export porcelain tureen, dating from between 1736 and 1795. This octagonal tureen is just over 13.25 inches wide from handle to handle, and is approximately 7.75 inches tall. The tureen weighs 9.5 pounds.

The base is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no repairs. The cover has been repaired as you can see in the pictures. On the bottom of the tureen is some very old material that has veining, it might be calf vellum, that could be cleaned off if desired.
