Chinese Jingdezhen Ge-type crackle-glaze bamboo-form porcelain stick stand. 60.25 cm × 22.25 cm. People's Republic of China. Quality Jingdezhen porcelain from the mid 20th century. Hand-thrown, with mouth and foot rims well trimmed.

This is a handmade piece of porcelain, not from a mould. A very faithful reproduction of Ge-type crackle glazes from the Qing dynasty. It is shaped like a stick of bamboo. Truly a delightful piece, designed to hold umbrellas and sticks. Faint star crack to base.
