The association promotes responsible antiquities and antique dealing and provides support network and means of exchanging relevant information about forgeries, fraudulent misrepresentation and stolen art with a view of identifying such items for sale and notifying the relevant authorities. All member of AIAD must meet and follow the stringent code of conduct in order to participate in the association.
