I bought this from the estate of a 93 year old woman who had an extensive collection of antique Chinese and Japanese artifacts including pottery, tansu, and carved stone, furniture. This very large teapot, 16 plus cup, dates to late 1700's to early.
Blue and white hand painted, hand thrown, with serpent top on lid. Round globular form with unglazed. Bottom that forms a large concave with a 1inch depth. The pot is porcelain with a clay component on the bottom.
It is in excellent condition with only one small chip off the spout. Lovely large teapot with grace and elegance.
Bamboo handle (most likely replaced). This item is in the category "Antiques\Asian Antiques\China\Teapots".The seller is "artist9water" and is located in this country: US.
