Antique Large 39´´ Signed Asian Chinese Bronze Dragon Figural Banquet Oil Lamp

  

PICTURES DO NOT GIVE JUSTICE. This is and impressive, exceptional, monumental and extraordinary chinese gilt bronze oil lamp. Made during second half of XX century.

Central body with the shape of a furious and magnificent dragon, and another smaller dragon on bowl. This bowl has been meticulously handmade with the body of the second dragon and a claw with a sphere emerge. It is a very old lamp so it shows signals of use. S ome parts have been welded on base, i suppose decades ago, but it does no affect its amazing and decorative impact and can be restored to perfection for an expert (see pictures number 8 and 9). Burner has all parts and it was never adapted to electricity, however needs attention (knob is locked).

Both highly detailed dragons have a beautiful expression with sulfide eyes and have been incredibly carved. Complete tall (including tubular shade): 39 inches. Tall excluding glass shade: 31.5. All defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described. If you have any question, do not hesitate to contact me.
