This is a fine and decorative pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain vases in the Famille Rose palette dating from around 1870. The vases are beautifully decorated with birds and butterflies, flowers and foliage throughout. The enamels are in stunning colours with courtly figures in traditional robes set in gilt oval cartouche. The vases have raised gilded mystical dragons as decoration and handles.
These are both profusely decorated throughout with bold hand painted enamels in the attractive Famille Rose palette. The pair are both in excellent original condition save for the small rim chip and the usual rubbing to the gilding. A super highly decorative pair that are an imposing size at 37 cms high by 15 cms in diameter.
