An very large & impressive original antique Japanese/Chinese fluted vase, dating back to pre-1900, but not being so knowledgeable about such items cannot ascertain its age with accuracy. I have given as clear as my camera would permit, the inscriptions at the bottom, together with close up images of birds of paradise and exotic flowers with their vibrant and deep rich colours. Perhaps those who view this item with more knowledge on such items and the meaning of the inscriptions on it can enlighten me with its date & history, and for which I will be very grateful.

It is offered here in excellent condition, with no repairs or paint loss, but just one small minor fault as depicted in the 10th photo. This vase was collected from a large Grade II listed country mansion in South wales where it was stored in a crater for decades wrapped in newspaper dating pre1910. Hence its excellent condition and retention of full vibrant colours. Dimensions: H 76cm; W (at top of flute) 33cm; Weight 10kg. I can even arrange collection from your premises.
