This vase had been converted to a lamp at some point, and whomever the lamp maker was, they were quite intent on the piece staying a lamp forever, as both the top and bottom had been glued to their fittings -- this resulted in some adhesive build-up on both the top and bottom rims.Significant dirt build-up on the interior.
