Chinese white carved cinnabar ginger jar/vase. 1900 or earlier (Qing Dynasty). The lidded piece rests on a carved wood stand. The piece is large, measuring 14.5" tall, by 8" in diameter. Overall, the piece is in good, presentable condition.
There is a restoration to the finial, and some of the legs on the base. The underside of the jar is missing, and well as a portion of the underside of the lid. The latter two do not show when on the stand.
There is one area on missing cinnabar on the foot of the base, about 1/8" thick and 3/4" long. Otherwise, the outer cinnabar is very complete, and presents well. This quote is for the Continental U.
