Very Large Antique CHINESE BLUE WHITE Porcelain Tea Pot Kettle - Admiral Zheng He. Being offered for your consideration is this very large 19.

Century Chinese hand painted blue & white porcelain tea pot / kettle with bronze metal handle and protective bands around the lid, spout, rim and lower sides of the tea pot. This definitely is one of the largest tea kettles that we have ever encountered during our years of collecting! Zheng He was a Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral in Chinese history during the early Ming dynasty. The top of the lid has a painted landscape with mountains, trees and a structure. We believe this tea pot / kettle to be from around the mid 19.

It has a four character mark on the underside which we are not able to decipher. This is a rare item that is seldom offered for sale. The tea pot kettle is in excellent antique condition with the exception of one very small glaze nick on the porcelain flange that holds the back metal mount (see photograph). Not distracting, but mentioned for accuracy. This would be a superb addition to any collection of antique Chinese blue & white porcelain!

Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details. The tea pot / kettle measures approximately 9" to the top of the bronze handle or approximately 6" to the top of the lid. It measures approximately 7-1/4" in diameter from the front to back side of the body and measures 9-1/2" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle's metal mount. This tea pot weighs approximately 5 lbs, 5 ounces. All measurements are approximate, but close. We carefully examined this item. As mentioned in the description, there is one very small glaze nick on the porcelain flange that holds the metal mount to the tea pot. This is not distracting and is mentioned only for accuracy. Other than that, NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Repairs or Restorations were noted. All metal mounts firm and intact. Large antique Chinese blue and white porcelain tea pots are hard to find; any minor faults should be excused as a better example may never be found. Do you have any questions?
