Large Old Chinese Famille Ironstone Art Deco Plate Bowl. Hand Painted - Timeless Craftsmanship. By now you probably already know from the 12 photos that a Famille ironstone Art Deco example like this would make a fine addition to any collection of Oriental art. This is a large plate bowl measuring 41 cm / 16.2 wide. It was left to me by my Grandpa who was a serious antiques collector. I think it is most likely to be early 20th century from the Art Deco period and so around 80 years old. The plate bowl has been beautifully hand painted and is adorned with typical art deco floral details, greenery, fruit, scrolls, birds of paradise and men and women in traditional oriental ceremonial clothing. Overall there are many beautiful details. Underneath the plate bowl there is an oriental stamp in the centre. The colours are superb and have the distinctive shades of pink and carmine as well as other Famille Rose colours.

This is a heavy, solid piece and for its age is presented in very good vintage condition with only 1 small repair to the rim (this is shown on images 7 & 8). The plate bowl displays a desirable aged patina throughout.
