Large Antique Chinese Hardwood Carved Immortal Figurine on Pierced Wooden Stand

  
It's a Chinese hardwood carving of a bust, on a fitted stand. The stand is a darker wood. But it fits the head perfectly and is finished with lovely pierced carvings on all four sides.

The bust is extremly well carved and a really good weight, over 1.3 kilos! The whole structure stands at 12 inches high, but he feels bigger. I think he has probably sat somewhere too warm and dry at some stage, he's showing signs of cracking.

But this is minimal and with good care, he'll be fine. I was told he was an emperor, but he might be an Immortal. He is very serene, and confident.
