Large Antique Chinese Pagoda Lantern Hand Painted Glass Panel Hexagon Lamp Shade

  

Beautiful antique 1930s Chinese lantern of rosewood with hand painted glass panels featuring sing birds and blossoms. Suitable as a lamp shade (hook in place to hold on to wire) or using a rechargeable wireless bulb as I have for the photos. Carved dragons head support beams. Original vibrant red tassels (one missing). One of the smaller glass panels is missing along with one of the tassels.

Remaining glass panels are all intact in very good condition. The tassels show some signs of age. The lantern would benefit from a good dust in all the nooks and crannies. This is a super and rare example of a beautiful bygones Chinese lantern.
