For your consideration is a beautiful and large early. Antique Chinese Peranakan Straits hand painted lidded wedding basket. This stunning and extremely detailed gilt lacquer wedding basket, decorated with flowers and birds, was made with woven rattan and wood, and then laquered.

A perfect piece of decoration for a coffee table! It measures 12" high to the tip of the handle and has a diameter of 10.5". It is in great condition for its age and used. There is a thin crack on the inside bottom, loss of gold on some areas, scratches on different sections of the handles, inclusive of paint loss. Please see the last five (5) photos for more details.
