Large Antique Nanking Crackle Glaze Warrior Vase - CHINA. A nicer than usual example of a Nanking vase, featuring battle scenes, probably from the classic Chinese novel: "The Story of the Three Kingdoms". Crackle glazed and beautifully enameled in Famille Rose colors. The addition of blue and yellow are unusual for this type of vase. Large foo dog shaped handles, and the vase is encircled with a band of salamanders.

Signed/marked on the bottom, this is a genuine antique dating from the mid to late 19th century. Some stains throughout and chip to one of the salamanders, and a large chip to the underside of the rim (see last two photographs). Examine photos carefully for condition.
