Large Bone Opium Antique

This massive opium pipe was made in the 19th century assembling fourteen pieces of cattle bone, showing a very nice patina. A ring is carved at the end of each piece. Before the end parts we find decorated metal rings.

The saddle is of simple shape made of. The nod at the end of the saddle is carved in the shape of what a bamboo nod would look like. The opium bowl is made of. Clay in a hexagonal form. Each side is decorated with a small geometrical symbol.

On the bottom we find who signature marks by the workshop or the craftsman that fabricated this bowl. The pipe as well as the bowl are in very good condition. The pipe: length 64 cm (25.2") diameter 2,2 cm (0.87"). The bowl: total height 4,5 cm (1.77") top surface from one point to its opposite 9 cm (3.54").
