LARGE Fine Antique Chinese Silver Pendant Turquoise Nugget Agate Beaded Necklace

  

Up for sale is this EXCEPTIONAL antique Chinese silver, turquoise, carnelian agate, and other stone beaded necklace. This is a large necklace with large double-sided silver pendant or amulet with gorgeous high relief artwork on both sides. One side features a gorgeous flower vine and above it an interesting and separate silver charm of a creature or figure who is grinning and sitting on some branches with his hand holding a large vertical branchy vine. On the back we see four large Chinese characters saying "long and rich life" in high relief accompanied by button flower blossoms and a branchy vine beneath.

Nice raised border and this shape of the pendant / amulet itself could be a lingzhi. Beneath the pendant we have three attached dangle charms with carved and attached carnelian agate and turquoise pieces. The silver filigree caps are ornately detailed with swirly plants. Above the pendant we have two beautiful gilt wash silver gourd beads side by side. Large chunky nugget carved and faceted turquoise beads are placed between smaller round lighter turquoise beads.

Towards the top of the necklace beads, stone chips including carnelian square carved beads separate the larger beads. The piece is in absolutely amazing condition - perfect with the exception of a loose strand of silk. The pendant / amulet measures 2.8" inches wide, 1.9" inches tall and about 0.75 inch thick 7.1 cm, 4.8 cm, 1.9 cm.

The dangling carved carnelian and turquoise charms measure about an inch tall or 2.54 cm. The sitting creature / figure charm measures about 0.6" inch wide and 0.8" inch tall and is fastened by curled silver metal wire that hooks onto the end of the necklace (1.5 cm, 2 cm).

The gilt wash gourd beads measure about 0.8 inch in diameter (2 cm). The larger turquoise nugget beads range from 0.5" inch long to 0.9" inch long (1.3 cm, 2.3 cm) and about 0.5" to 0.75" inches thick each (1.3 cm, 1.9 cm). The smaller round beads measure about 0.25 in diameter (0.6 cm). The stoned are polished and look to be in excellent condition, as well. The necklace measures about 30" inches long with an additional 4" inches of the attached hanging charm and pendant / amulet with dangle stones.
