Large Pair of Chinese Blanc De Chine Buddhist Lion Joss Stick Holders. Kangxi
Fantastic pair of large Blanc de Chine Buddhist lions dating to the second half of the 17th century. Each seated on a rectangular plinth, resting its paw on a brocade ball and holding a ribbon in its jaws. One of the figures bears collection label of L. Another one bears remnants of two additional collection labels and a hand-written inscription in black ink.
Condition: Right lion in excellent condition. Left lion missing small part of his tail and one of the fangs.
