A Chinese, ceramic lidded vase, dating to the late Art Deco period, circa 1940. Impressive proportion, providing a broad canvas for the profuse decoration.

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Embossed ceramic beneath a light glaze with a full colour palette. Foliate patterns adorn each surface with hexagonal shields to fascia. Gilt borders segregate the medallion motif from the dark blue ground. Domed lid removes to show an opening diameter of 12cm (4.75''). This is an appealing large vintage ginger jar, with a bounty of decorative interest. Ideal for display or hosting a flower arrangement. Delivered ready for the home.
