LARGE WHITE CARVED PIERCED JADE 14K BAT DOUBLE HAPPINESS ENAMEL PENDANT. Up for sale is an absolutely stunning vintage pedant that is quite large in it s size. It measures 4 long x 3 1/2 wide and has an intricate carved and pierced cut of a bat on top of a double happiness character. It has lotus and peony details on the sides. The frame is made from 14k unmarked gold with cobalt blue enamel and a undecorated bail at top. She informed me that the gold frame work was done by her family in China in the 1960 s, and that the jade piece predated the frame (most likely from the 20 s or 30 s). Her family worked actively with the Trammel Crow Museum of Asian Art as well as Stanley Marcus of Neiman Marcus. The pendant has some loss of enamel on the border, but overall, the piece is in very good condition.
