Vintage large Chinese hand painted porcelain temple jar with lid

  

This is a large vintage Chinese Famille Rose porcelain lidded temple jar in excellent condition, circa mid 20th century. The jar is decorated with hand-painted scenes of figures in landscapes including a deity riding a phoenix. Birds and flowers decorate the lid and there is a six character mark on the base.

This is a companion piece of another temple jar, also listed, this one being a little taller and narrower. Dimensions : Height 45 cm; Diameter 20 cm.
